Polka Raspberries

Hi, I am new to all this and have just taken on an allotment. Busy digging it over at the moment. I have bought some Polka raspberry canes which fruit from August onwards. Can these be left to grow without support or will I have to support them to wires. Thanks

I have some short posts with wires. I don't tie them in, they are just there on one side to stop the canes bending when we get a strong westerly wind.
If your site has any shelter, then they should be fine by themselves.
