Dr's visit today, usual stuff ,but he wants me to have a mammogram, phoned and  appt  is tomorrow, then he gave me a signed application for a blue badge for parking, John took it into the office 4 miles away and came home with the badge. Then some forms for blood work, being done at the same place as the mammogram tomorrow too. No waiting !!

Jonathon is a super Doctor, found out today he is cycling for cancer fundraising in June from Vancouver to Seattle that's about 300 miles I think.Sponsored him of course, but what a distance, just thinking about it made me tired.

Put me on a whole new course of medication, so am hopeful it will work. Apparently my nerves are misfiring and sending messages to my brain that I have an injury when I haven't, brain sends the pain of course.   The pills usually used for epilepsy apparently can work well in combination with pain meds  so am also taking 4 times a day, tramadol, diclophenic , a muscle relaxant and paracetomol together with the new one..but off comes my Fentanyl patch as I want to try it without that he has told me to use it if I need to as I will get break  some through and not to be too quick to discard it but I feel good after the visit today, very positive so am going to try.

It is an offence for a DR to love a patient..is visa versa a crime as well, he is smashing ::) ::) ::)

If so Jeannine, I will have committed a crime too as I fell in love with the Consultant who took my pain away by giving me a knee replacement.

Hopefully your pain will soon be a thing of the past Jeannine.

Yup guilty as charged  ;D  I had food poisoning one night and was dreadfully sick. I called the doctors but their answer phone wasn't on, so I called directory enquiries, they couldn't help, the local hospital "weren't " allowed to give the number out. So as a last resort I phoned the local police station, Tottenham. Spoke to the lovely desk sargeant who got me the number.
Anyway still chucking everything up the most gorgeous Doctor turns up - a young guy, not long out of medical school (i.e. a similar age to me  ;D ) . A very handsome guy  ;D  however there I was in the most scaggy track pants and t shirt, projectile vomiting  :-[. He had the most charming manners. Had to call for help again that night as the 1st batch of medicine hadn't worked, and there he was again  ;D telling me funny stories and gave me another injection that eventually sorted things out. Now he was cute (did I mention that before  ::))  . And to round it off nicely the lovely desk sargeant called me back to make sure I was alright  :)

So you just enjoy the "view" Jeannine  :D  And best wishes for the tests etc

Ohh... you brought back memories.  Grow up there in the 60's and 70's. Does the policestation still have stables :D

Hi Lillian - Sorry but I can't answer that question for you, I certainly remember seeing police horses in the area (and not always on match days!). And having never been in the station  :D I do wonder!  ;D

But back to that gorgeous doctor........ :D  ::)

Hope you are getting on with your new medication and your appointment went well.

Perhaps you can ask for a doctors home visit ;D

Hey hey!! I have had three good days, this still means pain but not the want to jump off a cliff kind.

Might just be a run of luck which does happen occasionally as does a really bad few days, but I am enjoying it, fingers crossed that it might just be permanent .
