Its a Jalo Gardener cultivator around in the 1920s 30s a beautiful piece of kit.
you just walk up and down the rows & it weeds,rakes,ploughs,& scrabbles
providing you leave18 inch between them.

Blimey, a rotovator that plays scrabble too. Brilliant that. No wonder they are hard to get hold of.

The Jalo is a copy of the American Tobacco farmers "Planet Hoe" which was used by the coloured labourers in the deep South. I think you will find that it dates from post WW2, it was certainly on sale then.
