what to grow

Afternoon all,rain stopped in plymouth and its snowing now,knew i was right to get the extra milk in.
   Anyway to the real reason for this,we have been growing runner beans for the last few years in an area about 10x8ft and now want to grow somthing else there,would spuds do or any other ideas please.

Spuds would be OK but that`s not a huge area to grow them in??

Why not take advantage of the nitrogen fixing and grow leafy veg/salads?
