Got a call today from my mate the parkie, my sheds been broken into on the lottie and caused a lot of damage due to the lock being forced and ripping all the wood off the front of the shed in the process.
Don't look like they took anything, nothing had even been moved out of the shed, my only worry is that its kids and they may have taken a knife, I rang the community bods left a message and nothing, rang the local old bill and got a temporary crime number, and the crime thingy bods will get back to me within 72 hours with my crime number, I wait with baited breath.

We were done for the second time in three weeks on Sunday. Police and crime  prevention officer came out today. The Locke's had been cut off with bolt cutters. They said they had arrested a person involved in it and tools were found in his shed. All the police would say he is not a million miles from here, what that means we don't no. Now we have all got smartwater to mark every thing with. So we can at least get the tools back when found. The price of smartwater is £15 plus we got alarmed padlocks at £10 All from the local police station. Time will tell if it works. Next job is to put up a sign to say it is a smart water site.

We had sheds broken into and machinery - strimmers, mowers etc - stolen.  It is thought that they were targetted - people who take their machinery to the plot and take it home again don't keep it in their sheds so they know which sheds to target.

It was reported in the press, nice to advertise lol, and co-incidentally we now have gates, which will be kept locked with a code.

Around 14 Nov we had plots broken into and vandalised, one had its greenhouse and a shed burnt down.  On 20 Nov we had 15 sheds broken into.  On 20 November we had another 4 broken into.  Never had it so bad.  Everybody thinks they know who the culprit is.  By chance he was threatened by a plot holder and guess what.... that plotholders tools appeared back on his plot.  Amazing ::) ::)

Is it time of the year? Two burglaries in our street in the past two weeks plus a damaged car. We have all been issued with Smartwater free of charge. (what a brilliant idea.) At least if the scumbags are found with stolen good they will be returned to the owners. I don't answer my door after dark now unless it is a prearranged signal from family. So sorry to hear of all the problems members have had.

Aah, sorry to hear that.  >:(  Such beeping beepers aren't they? We were in the pub the other night when the barmaid came in and said-er loads of alarms are going off in the car park-turned out there had been 14 car windows smashed and radios, cds, laptops etc taken. Gits.
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

our plots are broken into often don't let the police fob you off insist on them sending some one out it may take 3 or 4 days before they do but i always insist , make sure you keep a log of your crime numbers when you have got 7 phone the police federation and explain what the situation is and get your point over that the local police don't seem interested (bi g moans) then they will say we will send our crime prevention officers out smile ;D when they come round don't object when they say well this needs fixing and that needs sorting look confused  ??? then ask is there no funding to help us we get broken in to all the time they will say you need at least 7 crime numbers before we can offer grants  ;D then hand them to them and say we look forward to hearing from you (£9220) cctv  job done
You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt.
