My daughter rang this morning to say there had been a drama last night. Our 14 year old granddaughter was going to a party but she came home from school & told her Mum that there was going to be alcohol there. She didn't want her Dad to know but was told he had to know. There were going to be boys there too & it was a sleepover. The mother is the sort who wants to be best mates with her daughter & friends at any cost, her Dad is the sensible one & he wouldn't be there. After much discussion it was agreed she wouldn't go.
I am so proud of them, GD being honest & daughter & her OH for the way it was handled. Had the mother phoned & discussed it it would have been different.
GD also left youth club because the children were going out & getting drunk.
