Pineapple seeds?

I opened a very ripe pineapple and was supprised to find it had seeds in it, never seen them before,will they grow??

Presumably... but it might be like apple pips... you don't know what you're going to get for years...

I think it is easier to grow from the crown.

very unlikely. When food is canned it often goes through a heat process to sterilise contents. This would invitably destroy any seed too.

...but this was a ripe pineapple, not canned.... if I had a good idea that I was going to be using the smae greenhouse for the next year or so I'd be asking if Jeannine had any spare seeds......

Welll I'll take a few and probably put some into Digeroos pass the parcel seed swap when it swings past me (or send them on to meet it somewhere :D)... As the annual epic onion seed growing is about to start the propagators will be in action for a couple of months from Christmas....

I know Crook vaguely... stayed there once about ten years ago to do the wall and NT properties...

Oooh I've had some great nights out in Crook, OH lived there for years before we emigrated and still has family/friends there.
