Apologies that this question is a bit off-topic.
We make our own bread using a Panasonic machine, but are very frustrated that we can't find a reasonably priced toaster that will take a slice of such bread without cutting about 5mm of crust off one side.  Can anyone recommend a suitable toaster, please, because I haven't found any discussion about this by searching the Internet?

Hope you get some answers.  I have the same problem.   We cannot be the only ones.  I cut my bread in half but that means only being able to do one slice instead of two.

My toaster is a single slot toster, i.e. takes 2 slices of normal bread side by side.
It will take my machine made bread, but only 1 slice on it's side.

My machine is not panasonic, but I have used one, and I know a slice cut in half fits in a normal 2 slot tosater, so I don't see why it should not fit in a 1 slot toster, maybe to need to measure a slice so we know what size we are looking at.

My bread slices are 135mm x 170mm

I can vouch for the Kenwood toaster as posted by BarriedaleNick as we have one, but I can't vouch for your bread  ;D

Thanks folks.

Looks like the Kenwood is the answer.  I haven't seen any in the shops, though, so it seems on-line shopping is the other answer.

Mant thanks again.

I got one which came with the cooker it is called a grill and I can get several slices to cook at a time, then just flip them over to do the other side.

It is great for making welsh rarebit too.
