Rust on broad beans

BEWARE!

I picked my Suttons yesterday and set about podding them in my usual inefficient manner and was surprised to find that although they were covered in a brown rust the beans inside were fine...

..what i didn't realise was that as my eyes started to itch the dusty stuff on my hands when rubbed into those same eyes was going to lead to a massive allergic reaction. Result - I can hardly see now that all around my eyes has puffed up like a balloon.

The beans are doing fine..

Sounds horrible and not something I've heard of before. I hope your eyes get back to normal very quickly.
