Advice Please.....

In the school garden we planted up a very large/deep planter with Peas, Carrots, Onions, Radish and Spinach.

These have all been harvested, some worked out okay, others not so okay !

Is there anything we could plant/sow just now, or is it best to leave it till spring ?

Do you only want to grow veg.?   What about wallflowers to plant on either in school or for taking home.

Would have thought you could try some radishes and lettuce.  I am sure that the children can provide you with some bottle cloches for a bit of added protection.  It is the right time for winter onions, but if you are short of space these will use up space in the spring.  Some of the mixed salad leaves can also be sown now.  Some of these will give you green stuff all winter.  Corn Salad and rocket.

You can try spring onions, there is a winter hardy White Lisbon and well as others.

Found a web site with a sowing now section.  They also had Pak Choi, parsley, and chinese cabbage.  (Must say find a pack of parsley from Tesco good value its already germinated). 

Thanks for the post, realised I was wasting some space which could be mre productive in the winter.
