Used Activated Charcoal - any fish keepers found a use?

Does anyone have a suggestion for how to use spent activated charcoal? Seems a shame to throw it away... but I'm not sure where to use it.

You do know that you can re-charge the charco dont you Ollie?

Simply soak it for 4 hours in heavily salted water then rinse in fresh water. Viola! Re-charged charcoal.  ;D
