Runner beans

I have had a good season growing these and really don't know what to do with the rest, ie just freeze them or let them go dry for seeds for next year. I was wondering can the beans inside be ate like bettrolli beans, it would make a nice change and be useful for winter stews.

Rivercottage was saying the Bettrolli beans can be ate like runner beans early on, so i wondered if the reverse applied?

yes they can and after trying them i would have to say they are delish.

The dried beans are perfectly edible, tasting much like butter beans, but they are not particularly attractive - their interesting color pales to gray, the flesh of the bean is also gray.

can these beans be eaten fresh boiled without drying first?? our beans got blown over and ive got some of them unpodded in a bucket, they're not dry and sadly never will dry but could i cook them ?and if so how long ?

yes thats how i first used them last year.
