Can anyone identify my melon?

Hi Folks,

I was given a couple of melon plants and have managed to grow a few small melons.





This one was just larger than a cricket ball but we have two more twice the size.

The original donor can't help me as to the identity so I am asking if anyone can identify them.  ???

This one was very sweet even if small.

This is an old chestnut (not the melon).

Curcubits cross pollinate at the drop of a hat and even when you buy a packet of expensive seeds they produce different varieties of colour/size/etc.

They could be a type of Galia.

If you pull them as early as this they are probably not ripe.

No, it's the name of the melon...  :-X

 :D I grow Sweet Medley which are a mix of French varieties they weigh a pound or two,very fragrant and delicious and are ready for eating now and look a lot like your photo / shades x

Ooh Err Allaboutliverpool :(

We had the melons next to a dwarf cucumber. Could this cross pollination have affected the fruit or just the seeds?
