well managed to get into the garden for half an hour today - weathers been so bad up in edinburgh its unreal.
harvested a big tub of greenbeans "trail of tears" and popped them in the freezer - lifted my onions and shallots.  whilst lifting onions with a hand fork i schewered a potato - about 5inch long and 3 broad - must have been near the surface.  nothing strange in that you might think - but i didnt plant the spuds lol - onions were planted in general area of where i had some potatoes planted last year and ive had about 4 plants come up this year lol obviously didnt get all the spuds out of the ground so will be going digging later in the week to see what ive got lol
also picked a load of rasps this week - red and gold ones and frozen those.
made rhubarb and ginger jam - harvested my rhubarb during the year and froze it then made a big batch of jam - tastes not bad if i say so myself and neighburs and relatives seem to think the same lol
beetroot is next on the agenda for lifting and pickling next weekend - hopefully got a reasonable crop to work with after all this wet weather.
well - heading off for a couple of beers - working tomorrow for my sins
