I had just about decided not to bother to grow Tagetes again (every year they are ruined by the slugs and snails) when I read on another forum that someone has found that slugs and snails leave 'tangerine gem' alone.  Can this be true?

Probably just have fussy slugs...  :-X

Ninnyscrops.

Tagetes are grown for this very reason around my garden and plot Georgie, as a sacrificial plant. All the time they are munching on these, they leave your other plants alone.  ;)

Are you sure this works.  Rather thought that once they got big on one plant they were ready to move onto the next.
