hi, i am wondering if anyone else is having same problem as me.  i have had a very good crop of Charlotte potatoes this year.  But to my disappointment no matter how i cook them, steam, micro, or boil they seem to fall to pieces in no time at all.  the only way i have success is to make wedges, and i can see us becoming fed up of those  ???

I've baked some, and they were lovely. Most of them are too small (I had to cut the tops off due to blight) but I've never had any trouble boiling them. Take them off the heat as soon as they soften.

when i boil them and micro them, the skin seems to split open before the insides are cooked properly,

I have had this problem, but I find if I cut pots in half or whatever, rather than leave whole, and cook usually no more than 10 minutes, if not quite cooked turn off heat and leave them for a few minutes in water then drain - this works for me

thanks Susiebelle, will try that tonight  :)
