On many occasions I have come to answer a post, gone into great detail at times, clicked on the post button then low & behold someone else has posted at the same time & mine has vanished into thin air. OH says it's not possible BUT it does keep happening. Any suggestions please ::) ::) ::).

Hi,
When the other has posted before you get chance to finish replying then just continue to post. This will then allow you to post after the previous person has posted theirs.
I find that if I get the message above the posting in red I just continue to post and that does not lose the item or the information that you wish to post.

Got them back now to put some tread on them

Did you get the red message? If so, do as landimad suggested.

Use copy and paste to copy the whole text, then if it does not post as you wanted it, just paste and try again.

If it takes me more than 5 minutes to type something then i do the above, just to make sure.

No red message at the top. It just doesn't get posted. Very frustrating.  I am not aware until I have a look at the thread & then it's to late. I am hopeless with computers, can just about turn it on & send emails ::) ::) ::).

grannyjanny - Just a couple of things to try if you want.
First make sure your PC is fully updated by using windows update ( I assume you are on a windows PC).
Second - Delete your temporary internet files. Assuming you are fully up to date - Click on tools (you may have to press the alt key to see menus) then select  Internet Options.  On the general page click delete.  Make sure temporary internet files and cookies are selected and press delete.
Restart he browser and try again.
If all else fails, get an alternative browser like Firefox http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ and try that.
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

I have not lost them when others also post, but have when my log in has timed out.  I also find it a good idea to just do a copy before I post in case I loose something.  So I can just do a paste a retrieve it.
