Has anyone propagated figs by air layering?

My brown turkey fig has a very low droopy branch which is very tempting.
Does air layering work with figs?

Never bothered myself but I see no reason why it shouldn't work...  :-\

If the branch is long & droopy wouldn't regular layering be less faffing about?
Figs seem to root really easily however you choose to propogate them.

Oh, I meant regular layering    ::)  where you pin down a roughed up branch. Guess I'll try that then if the big one dies at the hands of Winter there'll be a  free replacement.
