SPUD SUCCESS!!!

Last years crop of spuds were very disappointing, just a dinners worth from about 20 plants.  This year total opposite.  I decided on growing charlotte salad pots and bought about 20 seed pots.  Chitted them and stuck them in about 6inches deep.  Earthed them up 3 times til the soil was a foot or so high then left them to do their stuff.  I waited until the flowers started to drop off and then dug them all up Saturday night.  I got 15kgs from 20 plants.  I don't know if this is a small crop but I am very pleased with the results regardless. ;D :D ;D
I am now wondering if I can chit some of these spuds and then replant them straight away or is it way too late for this?

I have just found some cara in a bag and stuck them in a bag of soil in the garden very much doubt that it will have the same yeild but looking at your sucess i am inspired :)

I tried Swift as a first for this year.  Only got 4kg from a 3kg sowing.   :(     Very dissapointed so will be gong back to Rocket or Arron Pilot again next year.

It would take 60 days for the seed potato to start growing if you planted a newly harvested one tomorrow. That is caused by the plants natural dormancy period.
