Is it too late to put maincrop onion sets in?

i dont think will be too much of a problem are they rooted at all have they been in compost in trays or they still in the bag.
at the end of the day what will it cost you to fail couple of £ , there again you could still end up with a crop late but still ok

Shirlton I don't know if red barron & stuttgart are main crop but on the packet it says plant up to May ready in 4 months, so I am going to plant them as I don't think a few days will make that much difference. I planted some in March so am assuming this way will stagger the crops.

red Barron & stuutgart are a main crop for better results pop them in a tray of compost to root This speeds the whole process up considerably

Been out today to find some and no luck so will have to wait for next year
