I am "green" with envy :) Good luck with them!

If anyone has any of these M&S seeds i'd be very interested in having some, it's an OP indeterminate, good to see such beasts on the supermarket shelves. It may just be a renamed OP rather than a true 'exclusive' I'd like to grow it next to black zebra and see how they differ.

Hector

Same here amphibian...I'm going to see if Markies has them in o collect seed from

The name Green Tiger is a funny one, it kind of goes against tomato naming conventions, it is clearly a black tomato with green stripes. For example, Green Zebra is a green tomato, black tiger has the same colouration as this tomato, just a more oblate form.

I'm off to M&S now. I want some seeds.

It might be worth contacting Rebbsie (author of 'Daughter of the Soil') as she may have seed.

cleo

It looks a bit like a red Zebra to me-but what`s in a name??

Good to see the more `unusual` varieties in supermarkets-those who buy today may become my customers tomorrow ;)

Hector

I phone M&S today and they didn't have them (smaller store though, so maybe found elsewhere....anyone that sees them, I'll pay for a punnet and you can eat the toms and send me the seed ;D ;)

The co-op has been selling them for a couple of years (labelled as 'tiger' not 'green tiger'), they are seasonal because they are actually grown in the UK but I think I saw them in there the other day.

Hector

Is that in the big co-ops, or wee ones like Spars?
Jackie

Baccy Man

In the co-op, spar is an unrelated business & i've never seen tiger tomatoes in there.

amphibian

None in my M&S, don't think we have a co-op round these parts. Anyone get any, I'll happily send them the money for the toms.

Sorry Baccy Man,I was beng a bit vague. I meant was it a big supermarket co-op, or a smaller one the same type of size as a Spar.

Amphibian, if I get some I will share
