Topsetting onions

These are the walking onion type, which produces sets at the top of the stem where you'd normally expect a flower. I've been trying to find out more, since the ones I have are such fascinating things. Mine are now in their third season, and are waist high. I don't have the £10 for Dan right now, but I've posted pics on my blog at http://thisandthat-robert.blogspot.com/ . Apparently these are Catawissa, which is unique in the way it forms bunches of small topsets above the main ones.
