It's at times like this that I am so glad that my allotment is in the middle of a coucil estate where most folks are glad to have a roof over their head never mind the view being spoiled.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I've got people like that on both sides of me at home. In the garden on Sunday and I noticed my flowering currant had been severely pruned.....and i know it wasn't overhanging his lawn. It's a strip of garden down one side of my house about 4 ft wide which borders directly on his lawn, he's dug up plants i planted there for ground cover hardy geraniums mainly no he's cutting back stuff that is not encroaching on his property.

Last year his lawn treatment nearly killed one of my large shrubs in my back garden, another flowering currant...he claimed he didn't use any weed killer but most people don't know there is a very strong weedkiller in most lawn treatments so i warned him not to get it near his own shrubs if he ever used it.

The guy on the other side is worse, won't go into that!

Tell him to put some conifers in, ;)

Reading this reminds me of the time my neighbour said that a house extension that someone on the road had done was not that much trouble to him as he could only see it when he stood on a chair and looked out of the top left hand corner of his bedroom window.

Begs the question.............why?????????

I'd be straight round the car boots and buy as many chairs as I could and line em up, what a pratt, why oh why do they moan about living near lotties, footie grounds and pubs they were there years and years before them, as already said if you don't like it feck off and live somewhere else.    :(      ;D ;D ;D
MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

I think you should make a VERY TALL SCULPTURE out of as many plastic chairs as possible .....

.... then get a naked gardener to stand in a pose on top of it (see other thread) .... ;D ;D ;D
Leave only footprints, take only photographs ....

They grow at the rate of at least three feet a year

Aren't some people mean :'( Go tell him to get a life and stop tyring to run yours. The man with and the caterpillars phobia needs to work out if he has a garden he also has wildlife ( i know where I'd throw my snails next time) ;D

Ha - wouldn't even inflict him on my snails  ;D. He admitted to OH last week that he killed our plants last year. & then seemed to threaten our rose bush too. Apparently his wall is about to fall down  (::))because the roots are pushing through it so wants us to remove it. & he regularly offers to chop our forsythia back because it casts shadows on his TV screen at a certain time of the day (it's very bushy, not near his property & only 6 foot - 8 perhaps when it has a bit of a spurt).

He does it all in such an annoyingly pseudo-nice way though. He is very understanding of our hatred of gardening  ;) as he doesn't like it either so says we should just to poison the lot cos that's what he does with his. Wonder when we tell him we have a lottie - can you imagine!? Maybe we should nonchalantly offer him some of our first harvest?

Luckily for me it's OH who he almost always collars for one of his rants. It grates on me enough hearing it second hand.
