About to put my seconds in and have noticed white shoots about 2'' are these ok or should I throw them away

This is what is meant by chitting, they are fine. If you have many shoots, keep about three of the best and rub the rest of. They are ready to go in now. When i chit my spuds, i try to let them get about an inch long, or less.

By the way, if the shoots are 2" long, be careful that you dont knock them off when you plant or earth them up.
