Does anyone have any spare Gigantes Butter Beans??

3 years ago I was given 12 Greek Gigantes beans which I successfully grew and subsequently harvested. Last month my lovely daughter came to stay and cooked my stored planting seeds....she meant well but it now means I have no beans for planting this season. Does anyone have a dozen beans spare?? I will pay for any postage involved and be eternally grateful.

Haven't got Gigandes, but we grew Spagna beans (Fagioli Rampicanti) last year
They're similiar, and you're welcome to some of our saved seeds ;D

I believe Spagna and Gigandes are the same. I love them, and distributed some last year to various people, but they had some trouble germinating them. Mine germinated and grew, but the crop was small.

Fagioli Rampicanti: I think this is just Italian for all climbing beans as opposed to bush beans?

I am sorry I don't have enough gigandes this year to offer around - they didn't like the cool wet summer last year, and I have not yet tried germinating the seeds I saved. Maybe if they do well this year, I can offer them again next year.

Artichoke - checked the packet & you're bob-on :-[, the variety was 'Corona' which being largely forgettable I .. er  .. forgot,  but somehow 'Fagioli Rampicanti' stuck ...cant think why ::)

I tried it last year, but it just sulked, as did Trail of Tears beans. I was rescued by Cosse Violette, which seems to thrive in slightly lower temperatures. I'm hoping someone will have some to swap next year!
