10 poles? i forgot to ask the geezers at the lottie but am desperate to know! i tried to convert 10 poles on a conversion site but wasn't sure if it was coming our right? can someone please let me know? i was thinking of drawing up a to scale picture of the lottie so i can plan beds and figure out what can go where!

One pole is 30 1/4 square yards so the area of your plot is 302.5 square yards.  Sorry that I can't convert to metric as it came in after my time. ::)

According to Nokia Phone Converter one square metre =10.76391505 Square Foot
So 252.929 Square Metres =2722.50626998 Square foot.
Sounds alot ?

GardenerJ, if you wish to draw a scale picture and plan out the beds it is not the total area that you need but the actual dimensions.  Wouldn`t it be simpler just to visit the site with a tape measure and ckeck the length and width?

Granny_Smith

Really showing my age here!
I remember 1 rod, pole or perch = 16 feet and 6 inches.
Does that help you GardenerJ ?
Granny is still your best friend !

Just measure your shoe, and then measure the plot out a step at a time.

Ceri

That's exactly how I measured mine Hugh, and then when planning I used an excel spreadsheet and used one cell per 5 Ceri feet - worked brilliantly.
