I was given a  cabbage plug whilst on the allotment. I believe the variety is mammouth
apparently one of the plot holders gave everybody a plug.
The idea being see who can grow it the biggest. As this is my first year Growing veg on my allotment
i could do with some advise from A4A members. or some secret remedies if you wish to share.
so i can grow my plug to a mammouth size. And impress everybody on our allotment.

Thanks in advance...Jimmy   ;D ;D ;D

Most important rule where I am is... Keep the sodding pigeons off! The new people on our site always, without fail, make that mistake. It's almost like an initiation ceremony...  ::)

Can't advise on giants as I only grow for the table, even though I do like the idea of comedy large veg.

Have grown Robinsons giant cabbage  for the last couple of years .
Lots of water is the key for them . And you need to get them in,
The ground very firm ,I use a brick to firm the ground around them.
