I have been keeping an eye on my seed potatoes. They have started to wrinkle. They have some nice sprouts on them. They are in an un-heated room not in direct sunlight, but not dark.

Is this normal ?

Sprouting uses up a lot of water from the spud, so it gets a bit dehydrated. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for posting this question.  I noticed today that mine also looked a bit dehydrated so it's a relief to know it's normal.  :)

I bet you don't!  Clockhouse were only selling them in bags (not loose) and I only needed four.  So a knight in shining armour came to my rescue.   ;D

I'm trying Sarpo Mira and Axona and I've only put them in trays to chit today... Mind you, most of them was already in full chit when I took them out of the bags.

You think they're wrinkly 'before' they're planted. Just wait till you dig them up  ;D
