Shirl, when you get to my age you have learned  many ways of smiling/winking/fluttering eye lashes :)
Nilly although I went in feet first I was asked to remove my bra because of the metal hooks, other than that and removing my jewellery I kept all other clothing on.
However when all was finished and thinking how long son had been waiting I just threw my bra in to my handbag (my blouse had lots of small buttons) When I told young Lorna she just said "OMG knowing you you would probably call in the Co_Op open your bag for all to see a bra in there!!!" Can't think why my children think I am scatty ;D

Lorna, I am pleased that you were able to get your scans done straight away as in Salisbury District hospital ten years ago when I had severe knee pain, they had an eight month waiting list!  I hope the surgeon can sort out something for you soon so that you don't have to be in pain for very much longer.  I am thinking of you and will be keeping my fingers crossed that it is all very straight forward and you do not have to spend very long in hospital away from your lovely family.

Sending all my love,  Pauline  x

Thank you Pauline. My daughter had to wait ages for her scan. I am wondering if they had cancellations due to this flu bug. It seems that way as they just gave me 24hours notice for the appointment. I am feeling quite optimistic that I will be sorted shortly.

Remember this folk? Well. I have still got my lump!! I had another appointment at Hinchinbrooke to see the first surgeon.  After looking at the MRI scans he told me he was going to refer me to a Neurologist because the lump is on a nerve he felt it was out of his surgery field. Yesterday I was at Addenbrooke's Hospital (glad it wasn't Birmingham which apparently was a possibility) saw a lady Neurologist, very pleasant person BUT asked me if I would leave it to her as after looking at scans she would like to discuss it with 2 colleagues!!!! Oh well it was only a 70mile round trip!! She told me I should get a letter in about 2 weeks and they would hope to sort me within 2 months. She pointed out that although it would lessen the discomfort I am having there is every possibility that I will be left with a permanent numbness in my foot!!! Ho Hum. (Really good news is that it is not malignant)
I need to be back to normal... gardening jobs soon looming and I have 2 family weddings. One in  France in June (Great niece) and my Granddaughter in August. Yipee.

Hope they get everything sorted before your big events Lorna. I'm sure that they have told you the downsides because they have to and not because that's what they think will happen. I'm sure everything will work out fine.

Jo.
