Im fed up with the back breaking task of filling pots with compost that my current situation causes, i have sorted out a surface to put it on but im looking for a tray to use for potting up but im too tight to pay the prices i have seen around the local nurseries, any bargains out their to be had purpose built or otherwise,
also on the same subject does anyone have something like this does the compost dry out or do some come with a lid to seal it?
thanks for your help

I have a compost tray, it was about £7 I think - the compost does dry out a bit but a good mix up normally sorts that out

I guess you could use one of those shallow under bed storage boxes as they are shallow and have a lid

I was in Wilko's at the weekend and they had these for I think it was £3.50.

Failing success at Wilkos, I bought mine at Lidl for less than a fiver and they are sure to have them back on offer as soon as their gardening season starts.

I built my own about 15 years ago.

I built it to suit my needs i.e. it can hold a full 70 litre bag of compost!

betula

I got mine from Argos last year.It is brilliant.

Check out Argos :)

Can you give a link please betula?  All I can find in Argos are potting benches at £30 or £70 {gulp}!

I used one of my daughters old baby baths for years till it got a crack in it. May look in Lidl for one when they get em in.
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"
