Mushy Pea

Hi folks,

Just trying to pick your brains again. I know I probably sound like a "Numpty" but here goes.......

I thought I'd leave some beans on the plants to get seed for next year but the frost has got the plants.  :(

How do I dry the seeds? Do I pod them first or dry them in the pods?

Many thanks,

MP

Hiya "Numpty"  ;D ;D ;D

just let them dry naturally in their pods then put them in a paper bag in a drawer somewhere.
You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose

I put mine on a newspaper lined baking tray on top of the boiler.  Doesn't get really hot there, but warm and dry enough to dry them out.  Must remember to move them before the boiler is serviced tomorrow!

I save all my seed whole, peas, beans etc. with the pods. When they're ready the pods just curl up and the seed falls out in the bag.
Tony.

Sow it, grow it, eat it.
