I have just looked at one of the random images and the paths on the allotment looked about 5' wide or bigger. It looked such a waste of growing space, unless it was for wheelchairs.
Mine are an average of 26" between raised beds and 36" for the main path leading to the shed and compost bins.

What are yours?

18 " between beds when I first laid them out - but now about 12". decided size 3 feet didn't need as much space. Have to say my middle aged spread may make them go back up to 18 " if not controlled soon :o

Our paths between adjoining plots are 16 inches or thereabouts, on my plots, one is raised beds (which I keep tripping up) and about the same, the other plot is natural paths that fall where I sow and grow.

The path running up the centre of my plot and to the manure & compost bins are wide enough to get a wheelbarrow through.  My paths leading of the main central axis are only 12-18" wide.

The main thing is not to build a raised bed so high with wood, that you can't get a wheelbarrow down the path - I learnt from experience. Do they make "high slung" wheelbarrows?  :)

Same here Nilly71... wide enough to get a wheelbarrow down, and my bike as well.

Thanks everyone.

Can you turn your wheelbarrow around corners when you get to the end of the beds?
I can easly get along the beds with a wheelbarrow but not turn when i get to the ends as raised beds surround the plot.

we have approx 18 inches - 2 ft between beds, tho some are less than that.  My big-footed sons complain like mad.

Had slabs in the plot when I took it over LBB - but found I had to lift them to weed - a dandy can push it's way up through the smallest of gaps  :)

about 4 inch bigger than my size 9 boots ::) have not measured any thing  :o :o :o (I am not very technical it would go wonky if I tried to be precise an I am sure the veg is not worried if the bed is a totally straight line ;) it looks straight any way ;D) my beds are as wide as I can comfortably dig in the middle without stepping on them  ;D
