Had to pick up a freecyle thing for my son today and got chatting to the gentleman about gardening. Came away with above book and 4 other well-thumbed cherished books!  :)

Might just try sowing according to Percy's week by week book next season to see still if he still holds the magic, despite global warming and all that  ;)

I picked this up in a charity shop a few weeks ago, I haven't had a proper chance to read it yet - but hey that's what winter evenings are for!

I managed to get a copy of "Middleton's Gardening Guide" (18th edition) from my sister-in-law. That's going back to basics.
