sweet potatoes

wow how have i missed these, i have to try them.
where can i get a decent sweet potatoe from to start with?
the ones in tesco's are nasty

I bought mine in Tesco.  I looked for one that had lots of eyes on it.  My plants (outside) are big and healthy.

Don't know what you mean by nasty - if they're rotting wait until they get a new batch in.  But it's very early to start them for next year.  I don't start them until January.

the ones we got recently were very pale and didnt taste great
we used to get ones that were a deeper colour and tasted hmm richer?
maybe my memory is wrong though lol

There's plenty of good ones on the market (Fri & Saturday) over here, lbb... just the normal market, not the farmers one... although there might be someone with some UK ones on the Farmers Market a week Tuesday...
