Great site Gary thanks  :)

It is an expensive site as far as seeds go.  I buy packets of little gem lettuce at £1.35 for 1250 seeds.  (1250 seeds costs £12.50 from this site).  I could buy 9 packets from Mr Fothergills for the price of their 1.   Autumn King 2 Carrot seeds at £1.35 for 2000 seeds.  (2000 seeds costs £20 from this site).  I could buy 14 packets from Mr Fothergills for the price of their 1.  Plus their £1.50 postage with all orders.  I would steer well clear.

Thank you ishard.  Indeed ktlawson if you do have a use for 1200 lettuces and 2000 carrots the site is not for you.  But if you have a use for trying different varieties without spending lots of money, that's where the site is heading for.

One packet of seeds usually lasts 2-3 seasons before needing to be replaced.  You could always do a seed swap on this site.  People are always offering seeds for swaps or even for free.

I agree with this in principle.  If there is a particular variety you wish to try - post on the Swap Shop section of the forum.  You could get to try your variety for the price of a postage stamp. ;)

The seed swap is a good link if you know you can trust what you're getting i guess.  I think a lot of it comes down to "each to their own"  Some people prefer seed swap, which is perfectly fine, other prefer a company.  Either way, worth a mention.  Better for the home gardener perhaps.

Thanks for that useful link, Gary.  As you say, it's very useful for home gardeners like me who, say, only want to grow a couple of cucumber plants.   :)

That's very kind of you to say so.  Welcome to the site, btw.  Hope it won't be too long before you are sharing your pics with us too.   :)

There's room for us all, I'm sure! The site looks like quite a new enterprise. Is it yours Gary?

Georgie, i hope to add a gallery pretty soon, indeed and forum, blog and seed sowing calendar too, but not on the scale of this site, just a small-time alternative.

Yes Amazin, the site is indeed mine and thank you for your comments.
