New allotment and new to A4A

I think I may get shot down in flames, But no way would I consider paying 25p a plant  for autumn /winter brassicas.  :o The ones you get to the table are certainly going to be expensive.. I would sooner sow some seeds and risk the plants being a little later going in the ground..
Is this the Yorkie in me?  :)   Whats other think ?

I am a new allotmenteer, and i am going to buy some plants as i am late starting my plot off, and yes, it maybe expensive at 25p per plant, but you cant get any cabbages etc  in any shop for 25p, well not round here you cant!!!

It's sunny here, so i am off down the plot to do a bit of tidying and sorting out ready for late summer/autumn planting....

Well Carste so you finally took my advice and got yerself on here. So pleased to have you for an allotment neighbour. All the nasty weeds gone now and you are really doing well with the digging. Hope that you're ready for another bloomin courgette when we see you again.lol. Ive put a sign at the end of the plot now saying "please help yourselves" They have all gone. Anything you want to know just ask on here and someone will know the answer.
