Courgette question

I love courgettes, but only one of plants came to anything this year, old seed I guess. Anyhow, the horrible weather is beginning to take it's toll on my remaining plant. The older leaves are beginning to 'rot' and I imagine production will stop soon. Is it worth while bringing it into my glasshouse ( it's in a big 14" pot) to get a few more fruit from it. Or, do you think this 'rot' may be botrytis and I'll end up risking everything else. My Tom's and Aubergines have a bit to go yet.

I don't reckon it's anything suspect but do you want to take the chance??? We grow far too many courgettes every year, this year we have at least 6 plants ... why????? We are already stockpilling courgettes in the fridge at least with just one plant you will enjoy every single fruit!  ;D

You say horrible weather and i assume that you mean lack of sun. I planted 5 and they are doing really well in the rain and heat. I water them 3 times a week and feed them, so this may help.

I see that you are in Cork. Is it particularly windy over there at the moment? This may have effected them...

It's windy, cool and VERY wet. There is a touch of Autumn in the air now. In fact the weather is so miserable I haven't been able to cut the grass for over a week. I have made the decision to buy a polytunnel for next year and move as much as I can indoors.
