My potatoes, runner beans and courgettes didn't get a prize or even a mention.  But at least I can eat them and they will taste good.

If I get to eat my crop before the birds and any disease - then I know I have won 8) 8).  So I guess you did win - you beat the birds ;D ;D ;D
All you do and all you see is all your life will ever be

You entered which is more than most people do. I've never entered a garden competition in my life.

Bon appetite!
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

I agree, it is a win win situation when the produce hits the pate, but some external recognition can be nice!!  ;D

We had a brilliant day on the allotment.  Family and friends and granchildren came. Everyone brought food and I had some delicious potato curry and rice and there was plenty of food for everyone.  The children did a treasure hunt and generally enjoyed themselves. The competition was judged by Waitrose.  I didn't expect to win but just entered for the spirit of it, but must admit when I saw the rossettes given out was a bit disappointed, and think I have got the competition bug.  Joe Swift and the camera crew were filming so it may be on gardeners world.  Joe's daughter won with a large white bulb with green leaves.  Don't know what is was.  Another lady won with 5 tiny, tiny red tomatoes, I told her she would as no-one else had any ripe.  I had only one red one.  I think I could have won with the tallest mares/horse tail but they didn't seem to want that as an entry.  Can't think why!!!!!
It is so hot today but I must pop up to water although I have plenty of other jobs I keep putting off.
