I have a sppace souh facing that's only fifteen inches lon by 15 inches wide, against end of a wooden aviary wall. I want to grow climbing french beans up it. How would you space them if you were doing this as says 6 inchghes apart and 18 inches between rows...I know this is basic but can't get my head around if I can fir more in if I stagger the rows?

I think I would put two rows of three plants, in a zig zag.

I thought that Digeroo then worried if because they were against a wall maybe staggering dodgy for light levels?

Build a wigwam 15" diameter  and this will give a circumference of abot 4ft, meaning you could get something like 6-8 plants in this space.

Digeroo

I do not think in a south facing site you will have problems with light.  They will sort themselves out.

Hector

Thank you very much :) I can go plant now :)

I would wait for some more comments.  Someone else might have another bright idea.
