growing mushrooms

has anyone tried growing mushrooms?  I have a couple of bags of horse manure given to me as a tip for doing a favour and read that it is easy to grow them.  All I need now is peat for casing and spawn.

Have tried to grow from a kit but it wasn't successful

I reccommend you get the spawn from this company it is always very fresh which is one of the most important factors & the reason so many people struggle with kits which are often left sitting around for months.
