what to plant next?

Hi everyone, the weather here in Kent has been rubbish for sometime but now it has turned really chilly, forecast for next week is as low as 8 degrees  ::)
Ive got loads of green tomatoes & no sunshine to ripen them!

Im wondering whether I should forget any ideas I had about sowing summer crops & if i should give an early start to some more autumnal things instead. What do you think?
Does anyone think we will get a 'real' summer this year?
