Garlic - when & how will i know

I planted some garlic last October.  How do i tell when it is ready? When Can it be harvested?  Is it the same as normal over-wintering onions?   ???

It's ready when 10% of the stems have fallen over. I noticed yesterday that my early garlic is yellowing, and one has fallen. I expect to be lifting that in a few days, and the maincrop in about a month.
