brambles....any way I can compost them

I have a large ammount of brambles on my plot , is there anyway I can compost them or should I just burn  ???

You could shred them, you could leave them to dry out completely before adding them to the heap, you could compost them in a plastic bag or in a barrel of water.
Most people will tell you to burn perennial weeds because it's simpler but i've always composted them & never had them regrow.

You can compost the young green shoots, but the old woody stuff will take forever to rot down, and is probably better burnt.

I'd agree with Baccy_man - whenever possible put it on the compost heap. Most perrenial 'weeds' have lots of minerals, etc that they absorb via their deep/extensive root systems - get them on the heap.
If you dry them out and then bash them with the back of a spade to crack them open, they will rot faster.
