Mrf94, those are some of the best looking removed pallet slats I've seen. I have some of the worst! Having easy access to spare pallets, I thought I'd be using the wood for all sorts of brilliant things, but getting them separated without snapping them has proved very difficult and VERY time consuming. I've read other threads on this subject giving various different methods people have suggested, but I'm still having trouble. Tell us your secret PLEEEEEEASE!
Lesson for life:
1. Breathe in     2. Breathe out     3. Repeat

As ive said before i use a hammer and a hacksaw,
I cut through the nails and leave them in ,The hammer is just to give me enough ? slack/gap to get the hacksaw  blade in but most times you dont need it.

Mind you i have a secret weapon i taught the wife how to hold one end of the pallet while im sawing, now im as thick as a plank myself but even i know you do as a women says/wants if you want to continue in the style to which you have become acustomed. So maybe its not my wood craft?.
