This year I reckon it has to be the sweetcorn. 100 plants germinated, and about 95 have actually grown above 2ft. The plot looks a little like a mini version of a deep south plantation!
The first corns are beginning to ripen and hopefully will be ready before we go on holiday (9th Aug).

Other than that, I have a lot of pride from seeing the faces of my work colleagues when they have tasted my freshly picked tomatoes (or is that smugness - I get confused sometimes!).

most proud of so far.........
veg: peas, first year I've grown them, large fat pods,
managing to stagger sowings of the veg, so we're not having it all at once, broad beans, large and tasty, my first ever cauliflower at my first attempt, the way my seed grown asparagus are growing.
flowers: pot marigolds next to red orach with cornflower, my black, orange and white tulips earlier this year, the blue sweet pea from my own saved seed, the many flowers on clematis 'the president', the white foxgloves, and so many more............what a good thread that makes you think and reflect and acknowledge the hard work! :)
