being new to this game.how many times do you  earth up potatos ??? ??? i have done it three times so far.every time i go up to the allotment they have grow so much.

Once usually. As long as the ridge is 9-12" high you'll be ok.

If you've done it three times you should be in for a good crop as the tubers form on the stem...  :)

I do it till there is no more soil to move :) and then I am going to try to mulch them to exclude the light and keep them nice and cosy. I  need to do it again this weekend...
