Snow peas then Pole Beans??

Do you ever begin pole beans in the same area to take over when snow peas quit in the heat?
My permanent wires and posts are all in place and would be fine for pole beans, too. But wondering about how much room to give and when to begin the beans...

What are snow peas? Pole beans are obvious, but I've never come across that one.

it is a mange tout type

if they are soon to be finished then yes the beans can go in, perhaps fork in a bit of suitable feed to boost the soil

Never heard them called mang tout but that is true, you eat them all, pod plus immature peas. So nice in a stir-fry.
Guess I'll plant the beans now and see how they compete.

Snow pea is the name the "over the ponders" call the edible pod pea that has very tiny peas inside...then just to confuse things more they call the edible podded one with big peas inside a snap pea!!

Hi Grannie Annie.. I do think  it is so much easier to understand the snap and snows  names personally as they are different peas from regular peas and from each other too of course so I get very  confused here with peas when both edible podded ones arecalled mangetouts here.

Here in the UK the snow peas don't quit in the heat as easlily as over there so I grow both at once .

It is even more complicated than that depending on which part of the country you're in: Peas, green peas, snap peas, and sweet peas can all mean the same thing! ::)
