Marketmore are an outdoor cucumber that should do well in a sunny spot in the open.  Ensure they won't be damaged by winds as they grow.

I agree an open top frame is ideal to keep the wind off...

I grew Crystal Lemon outside last year in the North West, they grew OK, as it was my first time with them I can't say how successful they were. must have got 6-8 off each plant

Harvester Restaurants are running a cucumber growing competition at the moment.  If you go to their website - www.harvester.co.uk - and into the News section you can get seeds and enter.  I got Marketmore cucumber - I am assuming that they send the same seeds to everyone who applies

No.. plenty of time to sow them.

I grow mine in flower buckets placed on each of my garden steps, a cane in each one and then I wire the cane to the hand rail for extra support. They also wrap around the handrail. I had a great crop last year. I will be doing the exact same this year   :D

I let them trail through my sweet corn.
