Hey all. We put up our little greenhouse in the back room the other weekend because it was blowing a gale outside but the room doesn't get much sun and this morning noticed there looks like mildew on the peat post and some of the compost. Do all the pots, soil and sseds need to be thrown out or can anything be rescued? Please help!
Thanks and happy Easter!

Tee Gee

Quite common this, spraying with a fungicide should deal with it.

desnz

Phew, thanks Tee Gee, can you recommend a fungicide?

Biscombe

I use chamomile tea and cinnamon powder to stop fungal problems, a natural solution

desnz

Thanks Biscombe, will give that a go, fingers crossed not all is lost.

I've got the same problem, found that its generally due to overwatering in my case and watering from the top, so now I stand them in a tray of water for a few minutes until they darken slightly and then pop them back on the windowsill.
What I lack in ability and experience, I make up for in sheer enthusiasm!!!
