I bought a blueberry cane from poundland, which looks very small, I soaked it for a hour in water as the intructions said, and then planted it into a large pot is that right.  Also how do they gro is is similar to blackcurrants or more like a bush

I grow a lot of blueberries.Needs acid soil, don't give it usual fertiliser, if you use it buy the one for acid plants. They really need two types to get good pollination. Most grow to a 5 foot  bush. Can help you better if you know the variety.  XX Jeannine

the blueberry's are called vaccinium corymbosum hopefully thats spelt right

calendula

hope you planted it in acid soil as suggested and water has to be rain, they grow reasonably slowly but not much higher than jeannine says and if you prune it to shape you can have any shape and size you want - might need netting from birds, it is the only fruit that i do net

Caseylee that is the  species name, look for a simpler name..eg Blue crop, Herbert, Earlibleu.

You will need to know the variety to know when it will fruit.

If you have bought them cheap they could be anything and they might just mark them blueberry and you won't know what they are.

trouble is poundland don't name their varieties - I just bought 3 and they all look different and you'll have to wait awhile for them to grow and show their true characteristics - or research all the varieties online but it could be guesswork
